Deep Tissue Massage Noosa

Deep Tissue Massage is an effective therapeutic treatment to target tight, sore and overused muscles. I offer root cause treatments to give you the relief you need.

Soft Tissue Massage Therapy for Aches and Pains

Soft tissue massage and trigger point therapy are great ways to relieve muscles of their tension and soreness. In our session, I’ll diagnose the root cause of your muscle tension, give you some hands on relief and then work with you on how to make lasting improvements so you don’t need to keep coming back.

Sports Massage vs Remedial Massage Injury Treatments

Sports massage and remedial massage are two distinct forms of therapy, each serving great benefits to get my clients moving again. Sports massage primarily caters to athletes and active people, aiming to improve performance, prevent injuries, and accelerate recovery through a combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, and stretching. On the other hand, remedial massage is focused on addressing musculoskeletal problems and injuries, employing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release.

While sports massage is geared toward athletes' specific needs, remedial massage has a broader application for individuals dealing with various musculoskeletal issues and pain. As your Sunny Coast Physio, I often blend techniques based on individual needs, and your goals. Come and see me today for a comprehensive Physio consultation.

FAQ’s About Deep Tissue Massage

  • Remedial massage is a therapy that targets a specific area like a shoulder, knee or lower back injury. Deep tissue massage is defined as a whole body treatment. As your Physio practitioner, I tend to target the root cause for quicker results so use a combination of deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy techniques in specific areas where I feel the most change is needed.

If you want to claim remedial massage on your health fund, then I’d recommend seeing a Remedial Massage Therapist. If you have Physio extras, then we can claim your treatment under Physiotherapy : )

  • Normally deep tissue massage may feel a little tender however I always ask my clients how they are throughout the treatment and adjust my pressure accordingly. Some added pressure can sometimes be described as “good pain” by people that like a firm massage. My goal is not to increase your pain but to offer you relief so ‘going hard’ is not always the most effective in getting the best results. Your health and wellbeing is important to me so I prefer to calm down your nervous system with long oil strokes first. Some clients report this is stress relieving and helps the initial discomfort they are in.

  • Loose comfortable clothing is perfectly fine. I may ask you to expose certain areas of your body that we are treating which may include removing your shirt. I want to make you feel as comfortable as possible so will always cover exposed areas with towels.

  • I’m behind Noosa Junction at 2/9 Berrima Row Noosa Heads. I service all the local Sunshine Coast areas from Noosaville, Sunshine Beach to Sunrise Beach. I even have some Brisbane clients that make the trip up for some sunshine and a Physio session : ) Come and see me at my little home clinic today!

  • I’m a Sports Physio so I use massage in most of my sessions however I’m not here to offer clients a full hour relaxation massage as I like to make the best use of your valuable time. I’m about healing issues and helping people get results quickly.

There’s heaps of massage therapists Noosa way I can recommend that can help you with relaxation massage and swedish massage.

Some other things I don’t offer is bowen therapy, myotherapy, lymphatic drainage, cupping or specific relaxation pregnancy massage.

  • The best massage is the one which gives us the most pain relief. Generally, back pain comes with tight sore muscles and a remedial massage treatment of the spine can relieve and relax chronic and acute back pain to help reset the system.

Back pain can also come with nerve sciatic pain, pelvic pain, and stiffness of the lumbar spine. Therefore, once I’ve completed a thorough assessment, I will generally offer a beautiful massage to help those tense muscles unwind followed by some specific physio treatments to get you feeling better.

  • There are so many massage techniques out there. If you want recovery from an injury and pain to tailor your treatment to you, then I’d highly recommend seeing a Physio.

Massage treats many musculoskeletal conditions and is good for the mind and body and your overall wellbeing.

It is important to note that unfortunately, some people in acute pain are made worse by inexperienced massage therapists. This is why I definitely recommend a Physio consultation over just last minute massage therapy booking.

  • Looking for a remedial massage Noosa way or a Noosa massage that will actually have lasting effects?
