SUNSHINE COAST SURF PHYSIO
As a Noosa local, catching waves with my mates has made me fall even more in love with the ocean! I’m here to support all the Sunshine Coast surfers who share this passion by helping them stay in the water.
Need a Noosa Surf Physio?
I see many surfers with painful shoulders on paddling, knee pain on cut backs, back pain into extension and stiff ankles which affect their pop ups. My main goal is to see you happy in the water again so I’ll get to the root cause of your issue, give you the most beneficial treatment and provide you with a surf specific rehab program. I’m not one of those Physio’s that will tell you “just to rest”. Most of the time, I’m able to keep you in the water with some modifications to keep you a happy ‘lil surfer!

Whether you’re an experienced surfer or just a beginner, the swell at times can be hard on your body. I deal with all the annoying niggles and injuries that come with surfing, assess why you have them in the first place and then treat the root cause to help you get the most out of surfing. In our session, I’ll assess your biomechanics and movement, give you some relieving treatment, provide you a surf specific program to work on with the goal of improving your performance in the water.

If you love the water as much as I do, you’ll want to get back out there asap! I can help by improving your range of motion, flexibility, paddle strength and technique for smoother pop ups and agile turns. I’ll also give you some injury prevention tools to make sure your issue doesn’t return. My goal is to have you walking away not only pain free but to reach new levels of your performance for even more fun waves!

Everything! I see a lot of surfers with shoulder pain when they’re paddling which can be annoying especially when those big sets roll in. A lot of short boarders tend to twist their knees in sharp turns resulting in knee pain & ligament damage and I see a lot of overused and strained muscles when the swell is big! I’ve also found that limited ankle mobility can really affect the biomechanics of surfers pop up and stance techniques which leads to overcompensation patterns. No matter how big or small the issue is, my priority is getting you back out there enjoying the waves as quickly as possible with your body in peak condition.
